Our goal is to shape the Anchorage Child Care and Early Education Fund to meet immediate needs while building a sustainable, long-term effective system for our families and community. Feedback from and engagement with stakeholders – including providers, parents, businesses, and others – is essential to doing this effectively. We have hosted a number of events to engage stakeholders, including individual meetings, presentations, listening sessions, and participation in larger conversations with others also working to solve our community’s child care and early education challenges. Please see below for a list of upcoming and past events and meetings.

Upcoming Meetings
ACCEE Fund Board
Starting December 5, 2024, the Board will meet from 10:15am-12:15pm on the first Thursday of every month in the Mayor’s Conference Room, Anchorage City Hall (8th floor), and virtually on the Teams platform. The only exception to that schedule is that the January 2025 meeting will be held on January 9th (the second Thursday of the month), also from 10:15am-12:15pm.
In April of 2023, Anchorage residents voted and passed Proposition 14 - Anchorage’s Child Care and Early Education Fund. The funds began accumulating in January of 2024 and will be spent starting in 2025, with an estimated five million dollars available annually.
To ensure these funds are used effectively, a private/public partnership between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Alaska Children’s Trust was formed to establish an Implementation Team. The Implementation Team was responsible for detailing how best to use these funds immediately as well as how to build a sustainable system for our families. The Implementation Team also brought forward an ordinance to the Anchorage Assembly that laid out the process for the ACCEE Fund Board, which will oversee the Fund. Most recently, the Implementation Team finalized its final report and proposed 2025 ACCEE Fund budget.
